Google Apps in Education: A case study of Faculty of Architecture, Rangsit University

This session presents a pioneer case of using Google apps for Education at Faculty of Architecture, Rangsit University, Thailand. Our Faculty of Architecture has over a thousand students enrolled each year, with at least 250 intakes for first year. Lecturers will have to deal with large classes, ranging from Basic design, Urban planning, to Architectural thesis. People are wondering how this can be possible with School of Architecture. In fact, our secret of success lies in using Google apps for class management, even for administrative task. Since the very first day at school, before starting the first class, students register to a Gmail account and learn how to submit their assignments via Google sites.  Rangsit University is Thailand’s first private University to have gone Google on September 28th, 2012. Faculty of Architecture, however, has gone Google for 5 years now.
